The Good Soldiers, 2016/ Director

‘The Good Soldiers’ is the title of the final film I created for the four-week filmmaking course I took at the New York Film Academy campus in New York. It was the first short film I directed, and although there is a lot of room for improvement (!) I’m still proud of what I was able to achieve with the limited resources and time that I had. I wanted to create something meaningful and explore the themes of unexpected friendships and new beginnings, whilst still creating a piece of work that was aesthetically pleasing. A lot of the work that went into making this film was new for me- from finding the main actor on backstage.com to collecting props to editing the film on Adobe Premiere- and because of this it was a major learning experience for me and has formed the foundation of my filmmaking skills.
